Admissions are offered by the university in the July & January sessions. Right now, the IGNOU online registration for January 2025 has been started for Diploma, PG Diploma, Certificate, Bachelor Degree & Master Degree programmes.

Last Date of IGNOU Admission January 2025
The last date to apply for admission in various programmes such as Master Degree, Bachelor Degree, Diploma, Post Graduate Diploma and Certificate programme is 15th February 2025.
The last date for these UG & PG programmes may extend. Ignou admission last date may change. So, the students are advised to check out last date on official website.

How to apply for Ignou Admission?
The process to take admission in IGNOU has been made very simple now with the introduction of online admission portal. Check out the steps below explaining IGNOU admission procedure:
Step 1: In the first step, the applicants have to open up website: https://ignouadmission.samarth.edu.in/.
Step 2: They need to register them on this website. It is very simple process to complete the registration on the website. After completing it, applicants have to login to the admission portal with the Username and password which they have earlier set up during registration process.
Step 3: The student will be able to apply for admission in any programme only after logged into the portal.
Step 4: After filling up admission application form, the applicants have to pay the programme fee via online mode as well.The admission fee via offline mode will not be accepted.The fee can be paid by Net banking, Debit Card, and Credit Card.In future, the university may introduce more fee payment methods to its online system for admission.
Important Note: All the details such as available programmes, prospectus, fee, ignou date sheet, exam form, hall ticket, etc are mentioned on the website.All the applicants have been advised to download prospectus and read it carefully before applying for admission. It will help them in understanding the study process in IGNOU.
Admission at IGNOU Regional Centre
For some programme, the candidates have to fill up admission form via offline mode.They have to submit the filled in registration form at Regional centre only.
In the first step, the candidates need to visit the nearest Regional Centre and get hard copy of Ignou prospectus from there by paying a fee of Rs.200/- in cash.
The prospectus or program guide contains all the required information about the programme in which you are going to take the admission.
Just read out all the information carefully and then decide whether you will apply for admission or not.To apply for admission, you can cut out the admission form from the prospectus.
Students can fill out the admission form directly on the university’s official website. The candidates need to pay the program fee online during the application process. Payment should be made via the available online payment options, not by Demand Draft.
